Questions from Brett Ullman

April 18th was a great success with Brett Ullman speaking at our church.

He challenged us to start thinking about our lives.  Some of the questions that came out of his talk include:

  • What lines do we draw of what is right and what isn’t right in our relationships, in the movies and shows we watch, and the video games we play?
  • What is the theme of the shows we watch and the music we listen to?  Would we say that these are the types of programs we love?
  • Are we listening to the people around us who need help?
  • Are we unwilling to help people because it is uncomfortable?
  • How often, and with what intent, do we pray?  The Bible says never cease.
  • Is the church built for it’s members?  Are not the members built for the world?  The church is built for the world.
  • If the church told you to involve yourself in 5 things in the community (or the church) or don’t come back next Sunday, what would you do?
